Installation (cost varies)

Since the needs of every piano are a bit different, Dampp-Chaser offers a number of systems varying in size and complexity. Therefore, the cost to install a Piano Life Saver system is dependent on factors such as the piano’s design, size, and environment.

After installation, your piano will spend the next 2-3 weeks acclimating to the system. During this time, you may notice changes in the tuning or the mechanical performance of the piano; this is normal and to be expected. Changes in the mechanical performance are usually minimal, and tend to settle down once the piano has fully acclimated. Dampp-Chaser recommends having your piano tuned no sooner than 3 weeks after an installation (tuning is not included in the installation cost).

Routine Servicing ($25)

This service is highly recommended to ensure that your Piano Life Saver system is working properly. A typical servicing includes inspecting the system for proper operation, replacing the liners and humidifier pads, and cleaning parts when necessary. Please note that this does not include the cost to replace any parts of the system that are no longer working.

We recommend scheduling a routine servicing every 6-12 months when your piano is tuned.
